On Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr I choose to expose publicly my interests and opinions. This also provides a means for people to contact me directly with a response. This is after all the purpose of these platforms. However, services should never assume such openness. During my regular browsing I do not wish for my activity to be recorded, not out of shame or secrecy but because I am not actively sharing it.

My one simple rule regarding privacy is, “if I want you to know about it I’ll tell you it”.

I love this art style.

I love this art style.

"And remember, if I am harsh with you, it is only because you are doing it wrong."

“And remember, if I am harsh with you, it is only because you are doing it wrong.”

- Monica Geller-Bing

shrugging:

My 12 Most Anticipated Games of 2012

Asura’s Wrath (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) / Lollipop Chainsaw (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

Let’s be clear about something from the beginning, I loved Bayonetta. I’ve never finished a game that kicked my butt that hard but something about it compelled me to keep play. I’m hoping to get that feeling back with Asura’s Wrath and Lollipop Chainsaw.

Asura’s Wrath is an action beat’em up about seeking bloody revenge inspired by medley of Asian cultures presented in a beautiful watercolour art style. The only thing it’s lacking now is Quentin Tarantino.

Lollipop Chainsaw has, well… a chainsaw-wielding, lollipop-sucking, zombie-killing cheerleader. I really can’t see how this could go wrong.

Mass Effect 3 (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

Bioware’s epic Sci-Fi RPG franchise comes to its apocalyptic conclusion. The story so far has been compelling and I can’t wait to see how it all ends for my Shepard. I have my reservations, as we all do, with Jennifer “Hamburger Helper” Hepler’s addition of an unavoidable gay storyline. Don’t get me wrong I like having the option; I just don’t see why it’s necessary to force a gay storyline on everyone.

Darksiders II (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360) / Diablo III (Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows)

Two RPGs, two games I haven’t played the predecessors of however I am intrigued. I’ve seen my boyfriend play Darksiders and if the sequel is that but with better combat I’ll be fine. I am not optimistic regarding Diablo III; I just want the “Skinner box” experience of World of Warcraft without having to deal with other people.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

I hope that the new RPG franchise that will sweep me off my feet… or at least wash the bad taste of Bethesda and Bioware out of my mouth. Full of colourful visuals, ridiculous over-the-top combat and quite the pedigree (Ken Rolston, R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane), it’s definite day-one purchase or at least a pre-order.

Game of Thrones (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

Not the strategy game from last year, obviously, but rather the new RPG based on the “A Song of Ice and Fire” franchise. I haven’t read the books and don’t plan to so I’m going to immerse myself in its universe in every other way.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock (PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita)

It says Doctor Who in the title, what other reason do I need to buy it. I might get it on the Vita (whenever I get one).

Little Deviants (PlayStation Vita)

Basically a collection of tech-demos masquerading as Warioware-esque mini games, it seems the obvious first purchase for my new Vita (when I get one).

Salem (Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Online) / Guild Wars 2 (Microsoft Windows)

I like crafting, I like looting and I like killing stuff.

South Park: The Game (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

	I’m playing a Jew.
