Privacy and I

On Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr I choose to expose publicly my interests and opinions. This also provides a means for people to contact me directly with a response. This is after all the purpose of these platforms. However, services should never assume such openness. During my regular browsing I do not wish for my activity to be recorded, not out of shame or secrecy but because I am not actively sharing it.

My one simple rule regarding privacy is, “if I want you to know about it I’ll tell you it”.
