This is a big problem as they are visible in Firefox if you use php’s include() function and if you have some code that must be at the very top of a page they will be there first. You can’t even see them in the likes of notepad!

But now Expression Web 2’s Beta is out and you can choose to include them or not;

Installs
Adds books
simply input the isbn to retrive the books info
Deletes books
Edits books
Searches
and orders the search results (e.g. by ISBN, Author, etc.)
User Accounts
you have to be an admin to edit/add books
users can request books
A request and “on-loan” management system
delete requests or transfer them to on-loan
delete on-loan books when they’re returned
The books have profiles
Better styling (no tables)
and a full default stylesheet

Work has begun on the next semester of PaganSoc and to start it all off here’s the by-no-means-complete, php-based library system for the new library (planed opening January 28th 2008).

After installation you can create a database of books by simply adding their ISBN number.

So far it installs ok and it adds books. So there’s still a lot to do, but I only started this afternoon.

First of welcome everyone to my blog. [If you're reading this on RyanGannon.com then understand the site is under construction, if you're reading this on LJ then feel free to leave flippant comments as I have on yours and if you're reading this on blogger then I probably don't know you.] So anyway this is going to be yesterday and today summed up.

My first proper hacking of Vista
Right so yesterday, yesterday I had my last exam, E-Business. I had already passed the course so doing the exam was a formality really. The fun started when afterwards I got a bluetooth headset in Argos (€20) and tried to add it to my bluetooth devices on Nike (my portable/college laptop). Now both of my laptops have Windows Vista Ultimate (RTM) and as you may or may not know, because I didn’t, between the RC2 release and the RTM Microsoft striped their bluetooth stack down to just File Transfer. So I was peeved as this was the reason for buying the headset. So why not just use XP I hear you ask (and by you I mean Aoife and maybe Cheryl) well I wanted the headset for Vista’s Speech Recognition software (yes, I’m that lazy). So after much hunting on Google I came across this. So that’s the way I spent yesterday evening.

Big Brother
BIG BROTHER!!! Yes it’s back. I don’t have to think about what I’m going to do every night. But what the hell is up with only adding one guy? 11 girls, locked in a house, the majority between 18 and 22, it’ll end in homicide. All the same I’m glad it’s back and it looks to be a good year all the same and Nicky seems nice, I hope she is and doesn’t turn out to be a bitch. The twins are so cute! They’re all blonde and pink and rather thick. Bless.
The best thing is we had a Big Brother party. So… much… Dominos. The brownies are so good though.
